Jess – Head Veterinary Technician
Jessica is an accomplished veterinary technician with many years of experience in small animal medicine. Since graduating from Sheridan college in 2002, she has pursued continuing education in many subjects, including anesthesia, dentistry, physiotherapy, nutrition, and parasitology. She has a passion for laboratory procedures and can usually be found looking through the microscope.
A proud mommy, Jessica can be found out and about with her twins, Dru and McBain.

Victoria – Registered Veterinary Technician
Victoria graduated from the Veterinary Technician Program at Northern College in 2013. She continued her studies at Northern College and completed the Wildlife Rehabilitation Program in 2014. Her interest in wildlife is what led her to veterinary medicine. Victoria has been with the Acton Veterinary team since 2014. A life long local resident, Victoria enjoys forging personal relationships with our clients. She provides excellent client and animal services, always with a smile.

IZZY – REGISTERED Veterinary Technician
Izzy grew up in Windsor and moved to Guelph to attend university, where she graduated with a degree in wildlife biology and conservation in 2018. She returned to Windsor to get her vet tech diploma from St. Clair College in 2021 and began working at the clinic this August. She lives in Guelph with her fiancé and her three cats, Pickles, Mocha, and Ollie (the only one who would cooperate for a photo!) In her free time she enjoys reading, playing video games, drinking iced coffee and chatting with her friends.

Kelly - REGISTERED Veterinary Technician
Kelly graduated from the Veterinary Technician program at Sheridan College in 2023. She is excited that she is now a fully registered Vet Tech!
She's always had a love and interest for animals and is no stranger to large breed dogs. When not at work she enjoys sharing "dad jokes" with her friends, and walking her 3 dogs (Houdini on right, Dallas on left, and Hershey photo-bombing the front).
Kelly's goal is to always provide the best care and love to all the animals (big and small) we see at our clinic. She treats them as if they were her own.

Kayleigh - Practice manager/wEBSITE DESIGN
Kayleigh completed the Animal Care program at Sheridan College in 2008, she carried out her College placement with the Acton Veterinary Clinic and continued working as a Veterinary Assistant here in the field she loves. She has a special interest in laboratory and technical procedures, as well as a passion for fostering and nursing sick baby animals. As an integral part of the AVC, she performs a myriad of duties throughout the hospital with care and dedication.
In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her family, going golfing, fishing and hiking with her dogs Moose and Daisy. She also enjoys catering to her cats Prince and Comet, both adopted from AVC.

Sheri - Office Manager / Veterinary Assistant
Sheri is our Office Manager and Veterinary Assistant and has been with Acton Veterinary Clinic since 1993.
She graduated with an honors diploma in Animal Care Aide. Sheri is responsible for ordering of inventory, payroll and accounting. When she is not busy in the office, she assists with reception duties and loves to interact with the clients and patients. Sheri also enjoys assisting the Technicians and Veterinarians when she can.
When Sheri is not at work, she loves to take her dog on long walks. She also has 3 cats that she loves to cuddle and play with.

Janet - Facility Manager/WEBSITE DESIGN/Benefits Manager
Janet has been with the Acton Veterinary Clinic since 2010. She wears many different ‘hats' at the clinic. She is very proud of the Clinic receiving a grant from the Federal Government for Workplace Accessibility. The new Clinic at 93 Mill St. E Acton has accessible parking, a lift and an accessible bathroom thanks to help from this grant. The Clinic also received a grant from the Town of Halton Hills for façade improvement. We just received another grant for Digital Transformation from the Town of Halton Hills. Janet is excited to write these grants, and she continues to work diligently to make our clinic a wonderful place for pets, clients and staff.
Her 4 cats and her husband Dr. Hess keep her busy at home.

Shirley - Veterinary Assistant
Shirley has been a member of our team since 1995. She has a wealth of knowledge and abilities in veterinary medicine and surgical procedures. Shirley has a certificate in emergency veterinary care. Shirley has also been grooming for over 20 years. Shirley has a 3 legged kitty Fancy that was surrendered to the Acton Veterinary Clinic.

Anita - Animal Care Attendant
Anita has worked at Acton Veterinary Clinic since March 2012. Anita was born and grew up in Rhodesia (now Zimbabwe). She moved to Canada in 2005 with her husband and daughter and is now a proud Canadian following her citizenship ceremony in January 2015. Her animals have always been an integral part of her life, and when not working, she can be found spending time with her five cats: Pandora, Parker, Ben, Daisy, and Maddie. Maddie is enjoying her retirement from the Acton Veterinary Clinic.

Jessica has been working at the Acton Veterinary Clinic since the beginning of August 2021. She has a passion for animals and is very friendly to clients. She is a busy Mom of a sweet little boy named Oliver. She has a dog Jack who enjoys hiking and playing with his ball. Jessica is a wonderful addition to our Veterinary Team.

NiKITA - Veterinary Assistant
Nikita started working at Acton Veterinary Clinic in August of 2021. She is in her 3rd year of Animal Science at The University of Guelph. Nikita is pursuing her education to further a career in veterinary medicine. You might see Nikita walking with her cat, studying. or volunteering when she is not working.

Esha - VETERINARY ASSISTANT
Esha has a passion for animals and people alike and is now pursuing Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) at the Ontario Veterinary College. She started at Acton Veterinary Clinic in 2021, and since then she has been inspired to build strong bonds with our furry patients and their parents. You can find her studying hard, playing with her adopted cat Butternut and at the front desk of the clinic.

Molly - Veterinary Assistant
Molly has been working at the Acton Veterinary Clinic since January 2023. She is in her first year of Animal Biology at the University of Guelph in hopes of pursuing a career in Veterinary Medicine. Molly would describe herself as an open and honest individual who is passionate about her work and isn’t afraid to face a challenge. Whenever she is not working or studying, you can find her horseback riding, spending time with her dog Charlie, or fixing up classic cars.

Kaitlin - Veterinary Assistant
Kaitlin has been working at the Acton Veterinary Clinic since July 2021. She is currently pursuing a bachelor's degree in animal biology, with aspirations to be a veterinarian. When not at the clinic, you can find Kaitlin with her two whippets Mini and Mulligan, camping with friends, or writing with a cup of coffee.

Dru - Veterinary Assistant
Dru is out of high school and she is working part-time at the Acton Veterinary Clinic. She started volunteering at the AVC at the age of 12. Dru has 5 dogs and 1 cat and she is obviously an animal lover. Her goal is to study Health Sciences at University and eventually she would like to become a Medical Doctor. Stick to your goals Dru. We have high hopes for you!!!

KALI - VETERINARY ASSISTANT
Kali is a dedicated part of our team. Raised in Acton, she began her career years ago as a High School Coop student here. She later joined our team in January 2024, brining her local knowledge and experience in emergency veterinary medicine.
Kali's warmth and professionalism make her a valuable member of the team, ensuring both pets and their owners feel supported. At home she is a proud owner of two pugs, Bentley and Maverick and Two cats Sunny and Henry.

Emelie- Student Volunteer
Emelie is a recent High School graduate who is volunteering at the Acton Veterinary Clinic. She is taking a gap year to gain experience in Veterinary Medicine. Emelie’s passion for animals stems from her loving animal family home who she shares with two dogs and one cat. When not at the Vet Clinic, Emelie often spends time with her sister Kali and her four pets. Kali is a proud Veterinary Assistant and an important member of the Acton Veterinary Clinic team. Emelie’s goal is to study Health Sciences at University, with the aim of becoming a Medical Cosmetologist. We are delighted to have Emelie on our team.

Tiny Tim - Clinic Mascot
Tiny was surrendered to the clinic at Christmas 2019. He had a badly broken and infected leg that had to be amputated. Due to the excellent care of the staff and doctors at the Acton Veterinary Clinic, we are happy to report that Tiny is healthy and happy. He comes to work and spreads goodwill throughout the community and at the Clinic. Here he is giving cuddles to Falynn and Maliya.
